Tournament Sold Out As Of Today! 120 Registered Players!

As of today, the 2009 EDCAR Charity Golf Tournament is sold out!  We now have 120 registered players, which was our goal and overall limit.  We are very pleased to have reached our objective, and many thanks to those who are playing in the tournament and those who helped to promote the event and encourage the sale of tickets.

With the tournament scheduled to take place one week from today, we will now strive to make it as fun and enjoyable as possible for both players and sponsors.

Video: Delivery of Backpacks to Child Protective Services, “Backpacks for Kids”

Concurrent with our planning for the 2009 EDCAR Charity Golf Tournament in recent months, we have been buying and collecting material for our “Backpacks for Kids” program, and have been putting together these special backpacks.

We completed our latest batch of backpacks this week, which were brought to our Shingle Springs Tour Meeting yesterday so that other real estate professionals could see what we have put together.

Following the meeting, we delivered these backpacks – about 70 in total – to Child Protective Services in Placerville.

In an effort to memorialize this so that other members of our community can have a sense of what we are doing, and the importance of this initiative, we videotaped some of this to give everyone a chance to understand the impact of what we do.

Almost Sold Out – Last Chance for Tickets!

The 2009 EDCAR Charity Golf Tournament is nearly sold out – there are only about 6 spots left out of the total of 120 players.  If you would like to play, please register today, before it is too late.

Bank of America signed as Corporate Sponsor

Bank of America has signed on as a Corporate Sponsor for our charity golf tournament, which is the highest level of sponsorship, and have also registered to be the Putting Contest Sponsor.

We greatly appreciate the support of our event and cause, the “Backpacks for Kids” program.

The net proceeds from this event will be used to manage our program and buy goods to put together our own age and gender-specific backpacks for children in El Dorado County. These backpacks are distributed by Child Protective Services case workers.
